While you can't help admiring their musical skills - this is an expertly recorded album - One Way Ticket To Hell And Back goes further to relegate the band to a modern day parody of what might have been relevant in the 70s.

Certainly, with managerial responsibilities falling on to the somewhat insubstantial and, above all, chalk-white shoulders of Justin Hawkins, of The Darkness, England seemed to lack the confident direction needed at this level. With his side a goal to the good against Scotland, Hawkins introduced himself up front, at the expense of Sharpe, only for England to fall 2-1 behind within seconds.

Classic Car Club Plans Rally to Hell

+ posted by FlamingWhopper

It's not as flamboyant as the Gumball 3000 but if you are interested in a little less mileage and a lot of fun you might want to check out the Classic Car Club Manhattan's first ever rally. The club is taking twenty cars including a new Ford GT, a 355 Ferrari Spyder, a '67 Chevelle Super Sport and a customized '68 Lincoln Continental (shown here) to Miami in a little jaunt they call the Rally to Hell. Celebrity participants will be Dan and Justin Hawkins from the band, The Darkness and TLC's Overhaulin' co-host Chris Jacobs. The rally starts on May 18 and lasts three days. The finale is in Miami on May 20 and the participants will catch a flight back to New York on the May 21.

Twenty cars - ranging from a new Ford GT and a 355 Ferrari Spyder to a '67 Chevelle Super Sport, a '65 Shelby Cobra, and a customized '68 Lincoln - will be departing from the Club's Manhattan location at 250 Hudson Street in Manhattan and winding their way south to their final destination, Miami, where sun will be soaked and debauchery will be had. Along the way, Classic Car Club members including Dan and Justin Hawkins from England's super band "The Darkness", TLC's Overhaulin' co-host Chris Jacobs and a variety of other well-accredited license-bearing adults will embark on a three-day journey through the Smokey Mountains, discovering American roadside wonderment along the way.

E3 2006: SingStar

Following that, we went for a shortened version of The Darkness' "I Believe in a Thing Called Love." As the yellow bar moved across the lyrics on the bottom of the screen, I watched as my voice failed to sustain the required high notes. Kohler, on the other hand, had no problem holding these high notes, his nailing of the target vocal range resulting in a much higher score. Thankfully, each song provides for short and normal lengths - I fear my voice couldn't have lasted much more of the Darkness' constant high notes.
